Gerupuk Beach

Ranked among Lombok's premier surf destinations, Gerupuk is home to five distinct breaks — each carrying both a local Sasak name and an international nickname earned from decades of visiting surfers. Beyond the waves, the bay itself tells a quieter story: rows of seaweed farmed by local fishermen float just offshore, a livelihood that's been passed down for generations. Climb the small hill to the east in the late afternoon, and you'll catch one of southern Lombok's most peaceful sunset views, framed by fishing boats bobbing below.
